ABA Austin
Up for some mediterraen dips and spreads, like mouth watering hummus and whipped feta? Yes, please! Originating from Chicago, this eatery feels as fresh as its ingredients, complete with an eclectic bar program created by renowned mixologist Liz Pearce of Flora Fauna. Make reservations as this location fills up fast and don’t forget the orange blossom creme brulee for dessert.
Perla’s
Perla’s has been known for its flown-in-daily oysters since its opening in 2009. A South Congress classic with a relaxed, coastal vibe, its patio is perfect for people watching when you take a break from your shopping and strolling. If not venturing in during off-peak hours, reservations are encouraged to make sure you get a seat.
June’s All Day
Looking for new American fare right in the heart of SoCo? Look no further than June’s. The cozy, French-inspired sidewalk patio has an intimate, bistro feel, complete with Parisian awnings and umbrellas. June’s namesake and owner, June Rodil, is a Master Sommelier, and their wine list showcases her talent, particularly their selection of sparkling wines.
Eberly
Though all the places listed here have delicious food, Eberly really knocks it out of the park for an elevated dinner (and is dinner service only). This restaurant is romantic down to their exquisite plating. With a great rooftop bar and chic American lounge-like patio, this old print shop is storybook-worthy. Try their beef tartare if you want to be wowed, and use the valet to avoid parking stress.
Cosmic Coffee & Beer Garden
The quintessential Austin backyard garden at Cosmic Coffee is the perfect afternoon and evening retreat. A bit more casual than the others listed above, this venue hosts local beer and craft cocktails. It has amazing on-site food trucks, a variety of live music, and is the perfect place to bring your pup. It is 21 and up after 9 p.m. so if you have your kiddos with you, schedule your evening accordingly.
